Dual exhaust on these trucks look absolutely ridiculous and it is way better to just stick with a 2.5 single or 3" single setup. Costs less, much easier and sounds better. These trucks dont need no dual setup lol

Although I am fine with single exhaust output because of the simplicity factor, I respectfully disagree with your statement that a dual set is absolutely ridiculous.

A dual exhaust design would sound better, especially in a high output scenario with increased boost. The Raptor eco boost has a dual exhaust design and sounds WAY meaner with aftermarket cat back exhaust (similar engine displacement and design). My old BMW e90 N54 inline 6 had a dual exhaust. Is it needed? definitely not. Could it increase exhaust output and make the exhaust notes sound deeper and raspier comparable to a higher displacement engine? most likely.

After investing in $5-6K for a TT kit with new fuel pump and injectors, spending an additional sum $ on a custom aftermarket exhaust is worth the investment IMO, especially for those going for the PowerMax Kit. Mat has not made any official recommendations, but has confirmed that the current stock exhaust set up is a bottle neck for the TT engine. I want this six banger to breathe and fart without restrictions.

I'm Sure MESO has plans for a dual exhaust set up since he's planning dual snorkel intake design.

Was expecting to but was unable to.

The other thing is...when it gets here.

Let me clarify for people about to get all bent out of shape. "Should have" doesn't mean "I promise no exceptions."

Spare the grief I have no time or energy for it.

SHOULD. How do people not understand how insanely complex this is. Just the fact that it's being done is remarkable.

Relax, they are working on it. You should be happy they don’t plan to release a product that hasn’t been fully worked out.

Raptor is dual to single to dual. Not a true dual.

No, can’t wait to start trying though, I think it’ll just fit with just a bit of cutting and some new brackets. I’ve decided on powermax if it turns out I don’t have to drop the tank, otherwise I’m back to making a decision again.

It’s hard to tell how things are progressing, but I’m still hoping I’ll get to install in May/June. I’d be interested in buying the intercooler now though to start work on making it fit. Do we know make/model of the intercooler, I could just buy separate and then put the one that comes in the kit aside.

@OVTune mentioned which intercooler comes with the kit sometime in the past, months ago, I can't remember what it was though. Treadstone I think, maybe a TR8 or even a 10? Idk.

I'd be interested in any brackets you came up with since I'm really interested in the base kit and have a winch taking up real estate behind the bumper.

@OVTune can you confirm or give an update on whether this is still the intercooler you will be using, and if it's the same for both kits?

Yah, I could be wrong but I don’t think that’ll work for winches, it’ll sit too high for top inlet/outlet.

Will probably need something with side inlet/outlets that can 90 back towards the motor.

Past making something fit and cutting shit, I’m out of my element. I have no idea the affect on tuning/cooling when you start talking about changing intercooler type/sizes, adding 90s, etc, to get the ideal fit.

Maybe someone local to Mat who has a winch can stop by his shop and test fit the intercooler, either to see if it works out or to assist with development of a solution. I'd do it myself if I were nearby.
