Aloha all. I clipped a post and need to replace a few parts.

    1. What else should I consider doing at this time?
    2. Is there a good photo catalog of the headlight and grille options or should I just dig around here?
    3. Is there anything I should be aware of working in the front end of these?
    4. Where do you suggest I source parts?

Silver Streak Mica, TRD SR5. Plain plastic and painted parts are fine but I hate chrome.

    Complete bumper
    Aluminum bumper reinforcement
    L upper retainer side
    L reinforcement bracket (aluminum)
    L + R headlights
    L fender
    L fender liner
the vertical thingy on the midline fore of the radiator.

My first move would be to put that truck on a rack and see if the frame is bent.

And if/when you do replace your front end, might as well do it with 2012-2015 Tacoma parts. Then you’ll have a new front end conversion!

In the first pic, those angles highlighted in green look suspect to me. Could just be the camera angle. Check for deformities around there.

second pic, I’d check the UCA bolt. See if any of that has shifted. Does it steer straight? Pulling at all? I hit a deer and my spindle was bent. Caused a lot of headaches.

    Sourcing parts is subjective.

All my trucks were bought wrecked.

Things I have learned:. Anything can be found on Amazon or eBay. Most are aftermarket manufacturers. I have no issue with that. They are very good on making parts that fit perfectly.

2 things I require to come from Toyita. Hoods and fenders. The aftermarket makers don't do a good job for these parts. They skimp on the corrosion resistance. It's a must here in Michigan.

Obviously it needs a little work on the rack, that will be completed before I install any parts - order of operations think FOIL from algebra ;)

Battery is not leaking, but is an old POS and being replaced.

Any other suggestions for the plastics? I like the 12-15 facelift version of things a bit more as well and just started reading about it.

Just bought the truck from my friend, new to the tacoma world.

Good eye, there is a tweak in the L frame rail at the bumper end precluding the removal of the bumper support assembly (at the time of pic). It is all fore of the suspension by 8+ inches. No irreparable problems found yet, but I drove it into the shop and kinda listened as the ROP kids took a look at it.

Steering and alignment are ok, no issues.

Sorry if I sounded a little snappy on that response a minute ago, didn't mean to.

Could always go fiberglass fenders and a Baja style bumper. Fiberglass would require trimming anyway, so if things are a little tweaked it might be easier to get lined up than metal factory fenders. Then just need headlights and grill for the front end 12-15 conversion.

Yeah, Ill post the pic of the bumper - still wedged where I left it. The CHP officer laughed as his trainee and I tried to get the bumper out of the guard rail, but no dice.
Post is fine, rail is fine, bumper is my contribution to road side safety.

For those concerned, I did wash the sand and dirt from behind the fenders. I even removed the "garden" from under the hood.
