    So good day today!! went all out ,Installed a new tool box on the truck,Found a new little jack from Harbor Freight, I have a nice Recovery setup on the truck, my minds at ease now..

    Forsure,its just my road side kit,plan on getting a jack that's just for the trails,plan on mounting rack on camper,and mount my trail jack up there,,
    just started building this truck again..
    I bought the truck new,and was my daily driver for years,was sitting for 6 years in my shop,,now im getting back into hooking it up..it will be there soon..

    I was trying to use harbor freight jack just like the one above off road and it had to be bled a lot so maybe store it straight up and down.

    I can't imaging trying to carry a floor jack around. I use one for working in the driveway, but out on the road, I just use my bottle jack that came with the truck. I also carry a few pieces of wood, 4x4, 2x8 for added lift if I need it. Harbor freight makes some decent floor jacks for the money. But so far I've been lucky, I've never had to jack up my truck anywhere but home. I've on my second set of Hankook Dynapro At, and only had one flat, but I managed to plug it in place and limp home.

    Complete OME suspension kit, Used low mileage V6 engine swap, black powder coated Chou Seiki T15x7JJ, ARB deluxe bumper, Smitty Bilt nerf bars, Weathertech floor liners, Torklift tiedowns
    I’ve got the stock bottle jack in my truck as well. Having the OME lift kit with the AAL has given me a 3” lift and don’t think the stock bottle jack will cut it, if I get a flat. I’m considering some accessories from this company: https://safejacks.com/, a Hi Lift jack (which I need to learn how to use properly & safely), or an ARB jack mentioned in the previous post. The blocks of wood is also a good idea to carry with you as well.

    A lift alone doesn't change the usefulness of the stock bottle jack. Your control arms and axle are all at the same height unless you're rolling larger tires.

    I have 32's (265/75r16's) and the stock jack still works fine (on flat ground).

    Those safejack accessories are pretty cool for sure.

    I have the OME 2 ice with 32's and the factory jack is only good under the rear end, which is definitely dicey off road

    Why do you need to carry a hydraulic jack in a 1-GEN Tacoma?
    Just the scissor jack in case you need to change a tire. They never break down otherwise. :thumbsup:

    Its a Husky Box I got a Home Depot ,model #102300-9-01 and 102300-53-01 ..its actually made to sit on the bedsides of Tacoma ,ford ranger, Nissan ect,,but it worked out perfect..I actually like the cut out at the bottom because it makes it where it doesn't hit the wheel wells,,

    Man,!!,safe jacks.com has some nice little Bottle jack setups, mite get one of those kits to throw in the tool box,,will take up less room too..

    I put four bolts though the bed of the truck with washers, and lock nuts. Honestly it was solid after two bolts ..
    You just have to be careful, put box in place where you want it, make sure the lid is going to open all the way.
    Mark it with pieces of tape. Then measure where you think you want to install your bolts, then get under the truck and measure to make sure there going to work, and not hit anything..i measured 12" inward, and 7" back from cab.then the second bolts where 4" over and 6" back from the first bolts installed. If that makes any since.

    Ordered that Safe Jack Kit from 4wheelpars yesterday, going to pick it up tomorrow when I get my Deaver Leaf Springs, ill Take pictures and let you all know how I like it..
