Sorry to hear/see Tony. I wouldn't have believed a cow would do that at 15 with a steel bumper. Hopefully the rad/core supports are good and it isn't too bad of a fix. Those trees have straightened out many of bumpers over the years.

 

Honestly felt the same way. Does the Demello only mount to the 4 bolts that hold the stock crash bar on? If so that would explain, looks like it either pulled those caps off or bent those rails.

 

I forget his forum name but looks like the blue truck finally hit leg day. Those bronze wheels tho..

Anyone on here work around the main line in Chesco and got a silver gen3 with an RTT and a roof rack? I've seen the truck a few times on my lunch breaks. She's a looker.

 

Decided to forgo the fog machine method and unfortunately I don't have a compressor easily accessible at this point. Thanks for the suggestions.

Smoke test scheduled at the dealer on Wednesday. Current quoted cost of service isn't terrible - if it finds the problem.

Currently reading P0440, 0441, 0446. New gas cap from Toyota and rollover valve/ gasket already installed.

 

This was condition of paper thin mounting points after removing bumper. Six bolts - three on each side.

 

time to weld a plate in there instead of 1/16 metal. You would really expect an aftermarket steel bumper to be built better than that. I would at least.

 

That was back in 2017. Plates have long since been added.

 

Bumper was fine, that's the stock attachment point that failed. BAMF makes one style of frame tie in, while ARB makes use of a second style. Both are intended to increase the absolute failure point of the bumper to the actual structural steel.

 

That was the most Mondayest Monday ever.
