I've been looking at a stage 4 Fox kit....

The price is definitely part of the hesitation, but mostly the maintenance. What kind of intervals am I looking at ?

Here's the befores. I started today, and will finish the first delivery tomorrow (hopefully). I have 25 more tons of rock coming next Thursday, and the bobcat coming back. It took me almost 5 hours to spread 15 tons of topsoil and get the yard leveled. Life long dream was to drive a bobcat.... but that shit wore me out!

Minimum of every 50,000 miles. If you Offroad a decent amount then I’d say about every 30,000.

the maintenance isn’t bad at all and really isn’t expensive.

Aaahh got too anxious with the oil change, dripped hot oil all over the side of the engine and down onto the skid. First time I've had to use more than just 1-2 blue shop towels to clean up.

Maintenance on this thing is so trivial though, holy crap. 30K is filters and an oil change. Cost me under $50 DIY.

Yep, would be a lot higher if I hadn't gotten the Civic. That's already pushing 11,000 and it's not a year old yet. I'm gonna even the mileage out by using the truck in the summer. A/C kicks ass and it's a white car so I'm fine with a little extra gas money for the comfort.

Since my 2012 Taco hood has no insulation, i was wondering if and what heat insulation to use to try and keep hood paint from looking like hell sooner than later? Thoughts?

Are you worried about the pain on the inside of the hood or outside of the hood? Paint on the inside is a high heat paint as should be just fine. Paint on the outside doesn’t go bad from engine heat, it goes bad from sitting out in the phx sun. Only way to help that is stay in covered parking, use some sort of ceramic coating or other paint protection product on both the hood and roof

If anyone is looking for a great welder I have a great contact. Made my sliders for me and they came out great. I just need to paint them.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but is there another support near the end of the slider (towards the bed?)

I made a structural model based on some assumptions (common slider tube sizes, materials, truck weight, drop height, spacing, etc.) and found that the resultant deflections will cause substantial contact between the free end of the slider and the bed/rear fender of the truck.

Just throwing this out there. I have no agenda one way or the other, but definitely feel that knowledge is power.

Was just looking at this and thinking the same thing. The 3 legs for the single cab portion of these is awesome and overkill, but nothing on the back half tying it back to the frame is not so good
