I yelled at him and said are you fucking stupid .2 weeks later it looked like someone took a box cutter and went down the side of my bed . It cost the company I work for $900 .

A drunk 70-year old man ran a stop sign and did this to my truck back in October 2015...

I found out from the county prosecutor while giving my statement that the asshole had killed somebody while driving drunk in the 1980s! Sir Drinks-A-Lot was driving a 2002 Mercedes E320, which was totaled in the accident; My truck had $2,200 in damage, which my insurance company ended up eating because despite the fact that the old man got a DUI and had a previous felony drunk driving offense, they believed his story that I'd run a stop sign and refused to pay for damages to my truck!

    :annoyed:

This is despite the fact that the responding police officers determined I had no fault whatsoever in the accident, and my insurance company also deemed the drunk driver to be 100% at fault! This incident really affected my faith in humanity...

The good news, however, is that I ended up getting court-ordered restitution from the old man, which I spent on a new stereo system, a backup camera, and most importantly dashcams (to have evidence against anyone who hit my truck in the future and claimed I was at fault)!

I got hit by a lying scumbag recidivist drunk driver in 2015, and then used the court-ordered restitution money from him to buy dashcams!

Well the taking matters into your own hands typically just results in more trouble for yourself. As much as things may anger you most of it just isn’t worth it. You could cuss me and I most likely wouldn’t respond, do something to my wife or daughters is a whole different ball of wax

I immediately cussed out the old man who hit my truck while driving drunk, but as tempting as it was to break his face, I refrained from doing that...

Why would someone waste their own time damaging another person's property?

That's actually a very good point!

I'd say the drunk who hit my truck did a good job of damaging his own property; His 2002 Mercedes had a bent frame, and he had trouble opening his door because the damage was so severe!

We have the same thing at my works parking ramp, spaces are tight and most people there are bad at parking. Luckily the back of the lot is pretty open and its where all the big pickup trucks and nice cars park. So everyone back there parks every other spot.

But right now I have handicap parking, its amazing, front door spots, I get a 5 foot buffer on either side of me. The only thing that sucks about the handicap parking is that most of the spots are not deep enough for a double cab long bed... so many times my truck will stick out a good foot or 2 into the drive lane. The other night I took the kids to the movies, the handicap spots by the door were too shallow to fit, so I had to go park in the far side handicap spot where there is less lane traffic that could hit my nose.

I have no way of proving this, but one time when I was still in college I got a job at Dunkin Donuts (lasted all of three weeks because the hours sucked); A former friend of mine was very resentful of the fact that I'd gotten this job and he'd been rejected for employment...

One morning, I came out to my truck while on break, and found that someone had splattered a beverage of some sort down the side of my truck; I am 99% sure that the former friend did this out of spite!

Yeah, it looks like it was hit by another door, or something else.
Does someone else use your truck and not park as carefully?

It was probably just an "accident", which is simply an excuse for stupid people to quickly forget about the stupid shit that they did and move on, instead of learning from it in order not to do that stupid shit again, which they probably will anyway because they're fucking stupid.

its like a dog that licks its own balls, cause it can. when they do catch them the punishment isn't severe enough to send a message out to the rest of the A holes to beware, its just a result of progressive hand wringing that's been prevalent for many years here and those chickens have come home roost

People are dicks, I went to a Menard's years back with my then pretty new Ram and someone dinged my tailgate. Put a nice round dent in it that just cracked the paint so I couldn't even get it pulled out.
