I had the sound deadening installed and it lowered the dB 4 decibels. I just had the MLV installed and what a difference that made. It is now 69 dB at 60 mph. Down 9 dB from stock. All i hear now is the wind .

Wow, 9 dB is really impressive. Must be quiet like a luxury vehicle now.

Access or Double cab ?? What areas? Under seat, back wall r Doors? More?

I'm considering taking the easy route but not sure if it will help. Access cab - pull storage under the seats and add the sound deade ner then see how it works before proceeding further ....

i've seen where MLV was added in addition to dynamat and noico....seems like overkill. Is it recommended to always do all 3 or what combination would be best, if the goal was just to quiet down the interior of the car?

Its a 2019 access cab TRD . He covered the back panel and tool box area. I still have enough to cover the floor under the seats. MLV is a very dense foam and vinyl for sound deadening. Its quite heavy 3/8 thick. I got it on Amazon. 70.00 bucks for a 2’ x4’ . Two sheets would do the back panel and tool area. My VW Tourage diesel is still quitter. And my Mustang is louder. 95 dB when i step on the throttle. Grin

I'd start with Noico and see if that makes you happy. If not keep going. I added the Noico to my back panel behind the seats and it was enough to make me happy.

This thread is reminding me that I forgot to do a "before" SPL reading before I did my access cab doors with kilamat and noico foam while installing speakers, no MLV. Still need to do main doors and perhaps back cab panel.

Other than doors (which I intend to do anyway since I'll be in there installing speakers) is the back cab the biggest bang/buck to treat?
