F7A18674-1D37-4380-84F4-5371351BB483.jpg Built a new gate for the driveway today. After all the foundation work on the house to add on the second floor the whole driveway and old gate were destroyed. I’ll be removing all the concrete and installing pavers all the way to the sidewalk(75’ to go). Also replacing the sewer main as I go since it runs down the middle of the driveway.

Don’t mind the mess. I hate painting and that metal grate at the bottom took forever. I am not a fan of spraying metal so I brushed it all. Should have just sprayed it. Would have saved me an hour or two

    A thing or two...
I cleaned up all the leaves in the backyard today. Eleven 42 gallon bags. :luvya:

I also put d-rings and picture wire on my reclaimed wood flag and hung it over the fireplace.

Finally, I replaced the AC filters in the house and shop.

Today I put in some more work on my trellis / privacy screen project at home

I poured the concrete and made the post frame winter before last . Last summer we planted the evergreen clematis and I designed my privacy panels and ordered the glass

Finally got around to building the frames for the glass last month , installed the glass frames into the trellis last weekend and finally put the glass in today

My neighbour's house is behind there somewhere haha

its the whole cobbler's kids have no shoes program for carpentry at my house lol

We moved into this house in 2012. Since that time, anytime it’s windy outside there was this noticeable “whistle” by the front door. I always thought it was the way the front porch had pillars and a sort of alcove. The other day I noticed there was a gap at the bottom of the front door, and I could see daylight through this gap. I thought I would have to replace the door sweep this summer once it was warmer outside, since the door has to come off the hinges to work on it. Then I found a video about adjusting the threshold, which I NEVER knew you could do. Well, I looked and there are four Phillips head screws on the threshold that turn left or right to raise or lower the threshold. A few turns of each screw, along with showing my son what I’m doing and why, and looking to make sure it’s working, and sure enough the whistling is no more! Easy and quick fix that I should have done 8 years ago!

...^^^... looks almost like electric fence insulators on the wooden fence  ... is your perimeter electrified ?? ...

PS ... I really like your strong gate (non-sagging) ...

No the perimeter is not electrified. My neighborhood is not that bad haha. I ran that wire along the fence a while back so I could grow cucumbers and other veggies in that space.

Unfortunately the gate did sag 1/4” but seems like just the metal gate itself deflecting. Should be able to solve it with just a wheel under there. I should have figured a little deflection would happen when I was installing it, the metal isn’t the heaviest gauge.
