Don’t look like much. I’m done with what I need to and wanted to get done to day.

got hair cut and new sun glasses but couldn’t find any shoes I wanted in my size...

Waiting for the snow storm here.... the last 2 were kind of duds. I’m not even sure we are getting anything. Certainly not what they initially projected.

    Oh. I have an update.

I received two TW stickers. However, since tcbob was tagged during that conversation, I still can not confirm nor deny that @JaCado is @tcBob running in incognito mode.

    Shame.

I love watching the blue thugs around here harass these two hawks that are nested in a tree a few houses down. They can’t get anything accomplished with them on their tails

    WHAT

    THE

    FUCK

Okay, I admire the ingenuity, but....

Anybody who hunts with something like that (assuming it would be legal)...
    ...should be ashamed.
But you just know there are guys who are gonna want to.

I mean, a magazine and picatinny rail for laser or bayonet...

Gonna bore you again now in 3...2...1
Last chance to bail before the "old man rant"...:)

    You've been warned.

20 years ago PA had a single muzzle loader season, which meant flintlock only with patched ball.
The whole raison d'etre was that it was more difficult.
That's why PA explicitly specified flintlock and patched round ball in .44 caliber or larger.
I had one in .50 cal. Never got a deer with it, but I was a busier guy back then.
The January late muzzle loader season was the better part of a month, as I recall.

There had been a constant pressure campaign on the Game Commission to loosen the restrictions.
By manufacturers of pointless "modernized" muzzle loaders and guys who wanted one.
    Why?
    I'll get to that presently.

Eventually the Game Commission caved. ($$$)
Now you have breech loading rifles firing conical (Minie) bullets using Pyrodex (a black powder replacement).
Breech loaders that don't even use black powder.
Conical bullets that take out the waywardness of a patched ball. (Wayward if you aren't very careful in loading.)
    Even sabot rounds are legal
Nor more broken flints, no more adjusting them.
They don't even use traditional (Civil War era) percussion caps, they use shotshell primers and a bolt action.
But hey, no telescopic sights though. Whew.

WHAT WAS THE FUCKING POINT ?

For the manufacturers to sell guns...
...and for the Douches buying them to game the regulations (so they thought).
    That's what.
But The PA Game Commission ain't THAT stupid.
Okay, guys, here you go, a one week "black powder" antlerless season. (extra hunting license endorsement $$$, which the Commission always likes).
Forget that shit though about having a month.
And a one week late antlered /antlerless season (more $$$).
Plus, they re-instated a one month (January) flintlock patched ball season (which varies by management unit).

As for me, I'll stick with my bolt action rifle.

    Rant over.
Okay, I'm sure I must have pissed somebody off. :)

    :crapstorm:
