We still have some WMA’s and refuges that limit what you can use to hunt with. I know some you can only use flint lock muzzleloaders and some are shot gun only.



PA is also stupid and still doesn’t allow Sunday hunting. I did see where they are talking about allowing 4 Sunday’s a a year but don’t know if it went thru.

 

He could mount it on the picatinny rail instead of the bayonet.




But them deer can be dangerous, so I dunno.

Yeah, there are shotgun only Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) here too.
Suburban counties next to Pittsburgh and Philly.
A shotgun slug doesn't have near the range of a rifle round.

As for Sunday hunting, most of the surviving family farms are owned by Mennonites and Amish.
They're very accomodating about letting guys hunt on their land.
Especially if you volunteer to shoot their groundhogs.
Anyway, the Game Commission doesn't want to piss them off.

Fun fact:

There's one critter you can hunt on Sundays.
Guess.
And it ain't groundhogs.






I used to be able to explain why, but I've forgotten the ridiculously complicated details.
Something about crows being included in the Migratory Bird Treaty with Canada and Mexico.
PA would have open season otherwise.
But since the total days are limited, they're all on weekends.
