Need to figure out what color lighting in the box enhances the look of the process happening.

I think he may pass on that color. Just a guess though. It's good for cups though.

If I get it to work, I could buy the parts, cut everything to length, drill the holes, then send a ready-to-assemble kit to you. ;)

I did not mean any disrespect in my previous post.. I did not think my wording through carefully enough. I do love the tinkering part and making things complicated HAHA! I hope that you get it all figured out and streamlined.. sounds like you have enough boxes to make some special editions! I look forward to seeing this progress.

I like the idea of smoking the ice block and letting it melt and collecting it again.. it does solve the whole breaking the surface tension issue that I had been pondering! This method will not work for things like smoked Vodka though so I may have to experiment with a few ideas.

 Dude, no disrespect taken at all! I like the feedback. My problem is that I'm obsessed with excessive solutions to simple problems.

You should sit in @Bigdaddy4760 's shop with Maner and I after a day of working on the pit. Each with a beer in hand, we brainstorm some super tricked out things we could do given the requisite amount of time and money. Some ideas are grand, some not so much, but they are fun to talk about. Often times, a simple solution emerges and ultimately makes more sense than the over-engineered thing we drew up. Of course, the over-engineered solution wins plenty, too. :D

I wasn't taking any offense to it, just explaining my motivations. If I drank cocktails more often, I'd probably have a reliable solution for making and storing smoked ice cubes. You're right that it is a better option. Alas, I just want some stupidly overbuilt solution that I'll use a couple times a year. ;)

Sitting in the shop sounds like a grand time! Add in a few more guys and some whiskey and we'll be building that jet engine smoker that transforms into it's own trailer that's also a welder and an ice smoker and twists Texas Pretzels on its own!

    Bottle kill...

    W.T.F. are Y'all drinking?

side note... this Legent last bit has been around for months. It's been in the dark but man is it bland and lack luster. Nose is weak, flavor is dead. Stuff doesn't age well or I don't remember the taste very well. Just flat with a tinge of burny. oh well. It's gone for now.

That, my friend, is the bottle I've been looking for since August! It's the Legacy Edition #2.

How did you like it at the start? I thought it was decent but not necessarily something I would buy again.

WTF?! am I drinking? Just opened up my first Nikka Coffey Malt...

never had this stuff, glad i found it, $36.

first taste was good, what i expect from a bottle under $50. what i didn't expect is the finish... wow! that's not what i expected from a sub $50 bottle. great finish, super enjoyable.
