Welcome. Enjoy the truck for a little before you drill into anything...you might end up liking those crisp fender lines and not actually want to cover them up down the road. They are quite nice.8962677C-41E1-4740-BF0E-3974169E145F.jpg

Would buying the ones that would fit into the clips with the fake bolts on them and using those holes and putting self tappers and tape work better??

Its about quality and taste. For me all aftermarket flares are to large. Drilling for me wouldn't even cross my mind. 3M would be the way to go, The thread I copied above is going to be your best bet. I lucked up and drove 6 hr round trip to pick up some OEM flares for free (take offs) SUPER lucky. Now they're just sitting in my garage waiting to get color matched. Buying new is kinda costly but its a quality. I believe new is gonna run you a little under $700 USD just for flares. I suggest stalking FB market or craigslist for a while.

No. Follow the tutorial and you can’t go wrong. Did it on my SR about 8 months ago and they haven’t budged at all. I’ll post a pic later.

I like the no fender flare look better honestly. Also less dirt and grime to cause issues later down the rd

I have the 17 TRD Pro, and it has the OEM flares, and was thinking of removing them, for this reason. Anyone know if there are any holes when I take it off? I see ill lose my mudflaps alos, but can go to Weathertech for those.

Yup, definitely lots of holes with orange and blue clips in them.
