Drinking and automotive work is a horrible combination. It's a good way to forget to tighten a bolt or get yourself hurt.

Yeah I don’t really drink. Just saying it shouldn’t take long to do suspension work. Especially front stuff

Are yall running these superchargers without the orange gasket that goes around the heat exchanger on the intake ? I recently took my supercharger off and that thing was completely gone, this is the second time its happened... who knows where that thing ended up..

@garciav Same as above, word for word. I've never had mine come off in between having the heat exchanger out.

@12TRDTacoma Good work on getting your cams in. Did you remove the timing chain entirely to do it?

What did you use to glue it on? This latest time I removed my supercharger I used a “heavy duty” stick on weatherstripping but when I went and pulled my supercharger this past weekend it was all gone.

Huh. I guess blow-by was enough to dissolve the heavy-duty weatherstripping.

I cleaned the exchanger thoroughly with brake cleaner, then used gorilla glue. I haven't confirmed yet if that worked though.

I did cam gears, not the cams itself. I just woke up when I posted that, sorry. I should had specified. :p

I used some 3m stuff in a red aerosol can. The gasket and the intercooler had a nice film of oil on it so I used some brake clean and soaked it all up with one or two rags prior to putting it back on. Then I let it sit there are I continued to curse away with reinstalling the blower out of tiredness.

The air pump valve manifold on 2012+ trucks was designed like absolute crap and took me the longest to put back on. I have never wanted to junk a vehicle harder because of the way an emissions control part has been installed before.

Heres an interesting tidbit. I have been picking up spark knock on my truck for a while now. @JustDSM has been trying his damnest to tune it out but it keeps popping up. I was running OE plug gap on the NGK 6619s for a while now (.043) and they sort of looked like crap anyway so I went ahead and changed them out to the Denso IKH-22 variants that come with our trucks. When they arrived to me from my parts store I checked the gap on them. In OE form they are supposed to be set to .031, mine were set to .028 brand new. I run a high boost anyways, so I ran it like that and I'd say about 98% of the knock is now gone and the truck gained some pep. I'm going to run a new log for Justin to check over, and even though you aren't supposed to touch plug gap on Iridiums, it is everything when you are running high boost!
