    Well i was talking to some of the locals that live up in Jacumba Ca, and they asked if i have ever taken the offroad trail to the Valley of the Moon! I obviously said, No! Where is it? and now i know where it is, so we need to hit it up asap:D

    Cool video and tunes to match... great idea to speed up the movie to cover more road in less time! Sure can tell the truck/ car was a 2WD... with his repeated attempts to crest that little hill, and roll backs with dust flying... Good find.. and I have heard of the place, but not been there.

    I finally hit this trail up.the start is a little hill, then another hill, then a big hill and the rest is trails and rocks. went by myself and thought i wouldnt get out! so many trails!!!

    Earlier in this thread, I was searching for a trail for us to run Saturday. Looks like yours may be across I-15 from where I took those photos (off Deer Springs Road, by Am/Pm)??? 'Welk', as in Lawrence Welk's?

    That last video is referring to "Drug Airport" which is a known place to go around the north county but it's not as scenic as some might think since a lot of pos people go there dump their trash.

    Guys, I have made a few trips to Eliot mine, which is the same road to Valley of the Moon. Valley of the Moon is BLM land is closed to motorized traffic. Where the road stops to Valley of the Moon it forks and you can take the high road to Elliot mine. It is no joke, the road there is severe and is 4x4 only.

    I was actually considering making a thread for a trail run out to Jacumba and Elliot mine. I have detailed photos that I can post to show the trail.
