    The NYS 4wd Fishing permits are still available through the end of this month!

    Fee of $80.00, Vehicle Registration, Driver’s License and DEC Marine registry is required

    Permit is ONLY valid for fishing at:
    Hither Hills (Year round)
    Montauk Point (Year round)
    Napeague (Year round)
    Robert Moses (Democrat Point, Gilgo and Sore Thumb) - April 1 - December 31, hours vary

    Sold at: Babylon Headquarters - Permit Office, Jones Beach, Montauk Downs, Robert Moses and Sunken Meadow

    Four-Wheel Drive Beach Vehicle Fishing Permits are only sold January 1 – March 31 and the Tuesday after Labor Day - December 31.

    I have everything I need to get the permit. But I was told the office's are now closed because of the virus thing. Not sure how that's gonna affect getting the permit before the 31st

    Pretty sure I heard on the news that entrances for the beach were closed as well. So even if you had the permit you wouldn't be able to access it.

    Figures. They probably shut down 10 minutes after I handed the kid at the counter my $100 for the pass. And to boot I like most families on Long Island don’t qualify for any stimulus checks. :annoyed::annoyed:

    on a side note, with all that is going on this is a prime opportunity to run some of the power line trails all around our island...

    dirtbikes and quads are ideal during state of emergency times :thumbsup:
