Yeah, I tend to enjoy a high level of drivability and I like to go fast both in the dirt and on pavement. So I've always had the tent below the level of the cab, when you do that, you cannot even feel it back there, it weighs less than a canopy even with the rack. I'm going to build my own rack this time around since I want to reinforce the bed frame and adjust my height and mounting options a bit more specifically since I need to clear the area directly over each wheel well for shocks to poke through. Leaving my entire normal bed floor intact, it's all just picky packaging. I like the old Can-Back look, but it's bulky and not that strong, can't really expect to use it like a bed rack like I do and have it stay in one piece.

Makes sense, good part of all of that is that you already know the path or route you're going. Won't waste time or funds figuring that out as you go, like most of us :D i guess this is your third taco you said? So you've paid your dues I guess:cool:

It's great to keep the rear light. You can thank Monte for the pic, I hardly take pics compared to him.

One of my regrets now is I should've taken just a few more pics.... It's so hard for me because I live in the freaking moment and love it. Or just make sure the partner or others in the crew love pics... Like you found :D
That really is a cool pic man
Someone else on here posts tons of killer pics and trip reports! And it seems like their trip reports are weekly? Anyways

Yeah that's Dan, he was on the trip this picture was taken during. He stops so frequently for pictures I'm rather sure he missed his calling in life as a photographer or a photo journalist. I always have to be in front of him when wheeling because I can't stop that much, kills the fun of the drive for me otherwise. But thankfully that means he captures lots of pics of me and my truck. He's coming to the dark side though gradually, got him moving a lot faster when he isn't out of the truck now :p

The group of people I hunt with use to think I was stupid for taking pictures like I do, guess who now enjoys looking back over the last 10 years.

I'd take a lot more pictures if I didn't have a group of friends that already cover everything from 3-5 angles

I always carry the camera, and I do take some pics, but never as many as everyone else, and not while I'm hooning, and I'm not about to stop hooning to take a pic.

I wonder how that 95-97 tacoma front grille and hood would look with a set of 4 runner fenders

Don't think the side lights match up, everyone swaps the core support, fascia, and fenders when they do that conversion. The plus side is the body lines match up at least
