What magazine is in there? I wasn't aware of a polymer magazine that would work with the AX platform (double feed with a lip on the front of the magazine).

Never post here but always try to stay up to date on the posts and vast amounts of info here. Wednesday there was no wind so I shot a few rounds off (sitting on the ground bi-pod, back leaned up against a tree.) Ended up 7 for 7 on apples at 300yrds with 1st one being cold bore. Was pretty happy with that. 6.5 CM Franken AR-10. Nowhere near the long range y'all shoot but was good for me. Hope to stretch out some long shots when summer rolls around.

A 2.5" target at 300 is definitely precision shooting, whether or not it's at "long range." That's a small target.

Anyone in need of a 6-9 or 9-13 harris bipod? I have 2 I need to get rid of since I came into possession of an atlas.

Both have notched legs, and the 9-13 has the adjustable cant. The 9-13 was installed and safe queened, the 6-9 has had maybe 3x out on the range.

Thinking like $60 shipped for the 6-9 and $80 for the 9-13

Pics when I get home from work.

Ok, I give, what is it?
I see elevation and windage adjustments, so I'm guessing some kind of scope/site mount?

Leupold’s new MK5 line is a much needed departure from the overpriced-underspec’d stuff from the old Mk6/mk8. Really good glass and turrets, especially for the money (NF guy, so not a biased opinion).

I agree and I’m aware. I had a mk5 that I sold on sniperhide. Still for $2000 there’s other options out there. However my bias is towards the mk4 and the amount I seen go down, and the malarkey of the company as a whole. Like their lawsuit against nightforce. Also the misconception that they’re a more “American company” because they turn their own scope tubes and turret caps. So what? All the other parts are still from Asia.

It’s a rear aperture sight assembly.

I emailed Merit to see if they still have a #4 adjustable iris lying around. If not I might spring for a Gehmann or rob the Merit I have on my 40x.

On edit: I got the black MDT vertical grip with my ACC and I’m not happy with its girth vs my dainty paws. Installed and used for a 40rd range day. Mounts to AR style interface. $40 shipped, check and PayPal gift welcome.

I've got the MPA non-adjustable equivalent. It wouldn't mount to my XLR but putting it on my AR for feel felt great. I'm kinda tempted to modify it to take the spring/detent so I can build out a precision AR, but realistically I should just pick up an Oryx Chassis, throw it on there, and shoot more.

Whatcha got planned for it? That barrel and cartridge scream hunting, but the tripod, chassis, and trigger look very PRS.

It will eventually be a hunting rig and occasional non-competition long distance rifle. I’m still deciding on what stock to go with but leaning towards a manners. I just grabbed a bunch of my spare PRS gear to start load development and store it upright in my safe.

Maybe a dumb question- Does storage position of a rifle make a difference in accuracy?

New scope mounted up! She drives tacks but she's a heavy bish. A cruise ship is missing its anchor somewhere, esp with this new 3 pound scope.

When he specifically mentioned storing upright in a safe. It has me second guessing my ways lol
