Was leaving my complex this morning and before I even got out I came across a cat laying on the side of the road. As soon as I saw it I felt like something might be wrong, so I parked and when I got out the poor little guy was crying out loud for help and not moving. I quickly ran home, grabbed some treats and a towel and ran back down to him.

He was still meowing, and when I approached him he was shaking.. Tried to put a few treats on a paper plate and he wasn't interested, I sat down next to him and let him sniff my hand. That led to me petting his head and he let me, so I felt comfortable picking him up without him trying to bite or scratch me. I laid the towel next to him and tried to gently slide him onto it assuming he could of been injured pretty badly.

Long story short after walking him down to the clinique that's luckily right near my house and paying $500 for X-rays, bloodwork, and medicine for pain, they found out he has a fractured pelvis in two places. None of his organs ruptured thank god so no need for surgery, he's staying there for a few nights and I potentially have some one lined up to adopt him. Dropped off a care package of a couple toys even though he's not mobile and a bag of treats, just want him to feel loved... He should be able to fully recover and live a happy life

    Poor little guy

Edit: Also should add he was chipped, they scanned him and called the owner who said the got rid of him awhile ago and doesn't have the new owners contact info. Wish I could've got on the phone to tell him what a piece of shit he is. Probably just dumped the cat somewhere... The cats fur was really coarse and felt like it was full of dirt so I assume he is a stray. The vet said his body temp was really low when she checked it and that was after him being wrapped up in my lap for an hour, he must have been laying out all night hoping someone would help him

Good for you for saving him! I'm sure the boy would appreciate a few more visits from his rescuer and a few initial visits from his new and responsible hoomans. Bless you again for saving his life!

Years ago we had a cat that would jump into the back window area of any car in our driveway if the windows were left open. My aunt had to turn around after driving 1/2 hour or so because a cat would appear in her rear view mirror on the way home from our place.

Yeah, Kittles sounded like she was crying almost howling like a wolf in her sleep last night. I wonder if she was mourning, sounded that way.

Thanks ya'll, I appreciate it. Yeah they're all special in their own way. All the little subtle things they do that make them have their own character.

Very commendable, thank you for doing the right thing. I was just about to say where I live in SoCal I feel like most people would just look the other way, but I looked and saw you're out here too. Nice little boost in my faith for humanity out here

try 4 cats and 2 hoomans in a queen size bed. We are contortionists weaving our bodies around them at night.

LOL - Our Bella LOVES to sleep ON my legs or nestled against them all night long. She's like a 10 lb furry bowling ball that will not move.
