@mhoadley , you might want to do something to preserve that receipt you intend to give to your son in 21 years. I’ve had some fade to almost a blank piece of paper after just a year or so. Congrats again!

Morning all! What shitty weather this week for the whole area! Got my first gen registered yesterday finally, might try for my inspection today or tomorrow. Then it's off to the dealer to get a full check up for anything that might not be obvious. From driving around and looking at it I think suspension and tires are going to be involved as well as a few bushings. Things aren't bad, but not quite as tight feeling as I think they should be. Oh well, will know better in a few days. So far loving the truck though. Its not super super basic like a 70/80's truck, but its so much more simple than the 3rd gen and I find myself really enjoying that about it. No distractions, just the truck and the road.

We hit 60 degrees monday, might cool down a bit later this week but that's it. Start up a fire probably the last few of the season this weekend.

    Good evening everyone,
haven’t been posting much lately because of the crazy hours at work but had a little bit of news...

for those who know my son Alex @grey_taco95 and/or have met him at some of the meets, he is now “officially” on the road. He got his driver’s license Monday and will be joining us when we meet up piloting his own rig :burnrubber::mudding:

Nice truck! love the wheels. The first gens have me feeling chrome these days, this truck is a good example of that!

I agree, a little chrome is nice! I like the monochromatic painted look too, but some chrome on the front and back is good as well.

In the same boat. Gotta love a 1st gen. While I love my 2nd gen, I was really missing my 1st gen especially after getting Alex’s truck done and driving it. I went and found a 1st gen for myself. My driveway is looking like I’m a Tacoma hoarder lol.

Hey guys, anyone in the N.E. area that TIGs aluminum? And would be willing to do some fab work?

I'm specifically looking to have a small diesel cell made. Roughly 16x5x5 inches with a couple of extras like fittings, mounting points, etc. Ive gone out to quote at a few of the custom shops Ive found online, but figured Id ask locally in an effort to keep it local and reduce costs
