Basically, the ECU would select different torque tables for the transmission depending on XYZ Variables.
In 1.05, I rewrote all the direct address look ups in CODE, for these. Which should make all point to "1" table.

However, during building 2.0, I discovered there are several DATA look ups for these tables, which is why the shuffling still existed in 1.05.

in 2.0, literally *everything* points to my table and none of the stock trans tables.

I don't want to go into too much detail, these are VERY HARD to find. And someone could scoop up our R&D work if I explain too much.

Easy. Less stupidity from the stock tune will be sticking around. Consistency and smoothness will be the name of the game.

The MT crowd is even :drool::drool: for stuff like this.

Does this mean the radar cruise control will honor the tune or is that still an issue?

I was just going to ask this question about the radar cruise control. Just curious how it will work with the new tune. Can't wait to try it out and find out. Thanks for all the work Matt making this truck amazing.

I just gave my truck some pedal to the metal action at about 10mph for the first time ever yesterday. I baby my truck for the most part. I was blown away with how it picked up and took off. 5.29, 4.88 91 2.0 beta tune.

I was surprised when it was posted that the 3rd Gen is 0.1sec slower to 60 than the old V8 Raptor. These are quick trucks that get not much credit for it.

I hope to have updated blog post Fri~Sat on everything in 2.0, release time frame.
there is a lot more things I haven't even mentioned yet, including shift modes, table modification, tons of throttle control features, etc.

We've done a big simplification to throttle too. no more by gear limits. All gears, neutral, reverse = 1 table. I just need to get all info onto 1 page.

You're doing God's work, Mat. Thank you!

Seriously, though, just one big question on my mind: will our troublesome 2019 trucks receive all of the same benefits and enjoy the same experience as everyone else?

Yes, 2019 tune, 2020 tune, will be identical.

All tunes will be standard/same 16-20

All versions will have the same features as well.

Extremely cool really, ive used tuners in the past and the ecu code was always a constant. I greatly appreciate your insight to this, i have a friend who is a tech at a dealership near me so ill just have him slick me up. Really though, thanks for being chill and super informative.

    You're welcome!

The TSB update made a big difference for a lot of 2016 to 2018 folks, so I enjoy spreading the word.

If you can't get your friend to do the update (I can't see why he wouldn't), reach out with any questions.

Hes usually pretty good with hooking me up, he knows i tinker with my vehicles and does his best to help me out. Regardless if i have any questions, i wont hesitate. Its also nice because i wont have to bug Mat any further since you seem pretty well versed in this segment of knowhow.

Yeah. It is literally a 10min procedure, so there should be no problems other than following the tips in the Update thread that he should know very well.

There are a bunch of folks here that have done this have and have the background knowledge. The problem is that unlike OVT, TS updates can temporarily brick an ECU. So we decided to put together that 1st Post as a guide.

Also in my TS share, there is TSB-0134-16 that contains all the official details for ECU flashing, which is similar to that post.
