we did this at my old job and it was no bueno...for every challenging conversation or phone call you had to find a breakout room. We bought the teams noise cancelling headphones...

where I work, most of them weigh 275-375 lbs. And not in a “I go to the gym and lift heavy shit” type of 275-375 lbs. So....no.

Those are the fucking WORST. I absolutely hate this trend in going that way. It may work for software developers but for a normal office environment it’s dog shit. My last job had the same thing. People would think it’s ok to talk across cubes to each other. I would be on a phone call and could barely hear anything being said because of the idiots talking over me. I couldn’t stand the one guy who was next to me, I quite literally told him to shut the hell up because I couldn’t hear my phone call. Fuck those “collaborative” work spaces.

We have nice 6ft tall cube walls here and we are pretty spread out. I'm the only one who can see over the cubes, which also means I'm the only one who everyone can see walking around the office lol

When I'm in the office I have my fan on and headphones in and no one bugs me, its nice.

Have my own office. With a solid door. And a view. And insulated walls. Pretty sweet. There’s an unwritten rule that if someone’s door is shut, you don’t bother them.

If I was a porn star it would be in my contract my crew all has to be approved by me. I don’t want anyone messing up my groove.

I miss having a private office.

I sit in a cube in the corner next to a disabled Marine vet. He has light sensitivity so all the lights have been taken out of the ceiling. Its dark and quiet.

My new job cube is the shit. Walls are shoulder height (on me) so they’re probably just under 6ft. Mine is great because my wall kind of wraps in so you can’t walk by and see me, you have to actually walk in, it’s like my own mini office.

I’ve lucky enough to have never worked in an office, don’t want to.
