    I recently got an EMU lift installed. Issue is after lift was installed I hear a clunk when I hit bumps on passenger side.
    I noticed that on the passenger side shock there is piece that seems to be missing up top. now Excuse my lack of experience and knowledge. Can someone tell me if this part missing is a bushing or mount. Or if this is even the cause of this “clunk” before I go back to the shop and complain.

    Yes, you're missing a bushing and the washer. Head back to the installer immediately. That is a HUGE oversight.

    That could get expensive, I really don't know how a shop could miss that.
    On another note, please change the title, help is generally used for people stranded.

    My brother had a land cruiser specific shop install a lift on his land cruiser. They left the top of one shock completely undone. No bolts. This is why I work on my own shit!

    I would change your title from a vague "help please!". The "Help" is reserved for people legit stranded who need assistance.

    Thank You, hopefully it’s not, I’ve only had it for 3 days on pavement, heading over to the shop this second.

    I'd highly recommend a replacement of that coilover... Or a damn good EXTENDED warranty. It's hard to know what kind of damage may have occurred.

    Looks like there's a bit of rubber chunks still left on the shock shaft. My bet is they completely forgot to put on the metal washers and the first bump you hit destroyed and launched the rubber bushing. Here's a photo from a Toyota parts website, part orientations are the same. You'll need the metal washers and the rubber bushing. You have only driven it for a few days so the top hat SHOULD be fine but at this point I would definitely tell them you want to inspect the top hat when they remove it. If the hole is no longer round and is oblong I would have them replace it on their dime. Like @Bertw192 said, you might even want to push for them to replace the coilover as a whole on their dime. Or a written promise that they will replace it if it fails in a short period of time.

    Red = metal washers
    blue = rubber bushing

    Welp, that's the end of that thread. That's the most comprehensive answer that OP is going to get. Now time to let this thread devolve into the typical 3rd gen madness.

    Let me start... Why is the shock yelling at Mark? Did he do the install?

    Seriously though, OP. Keep us updated. And yes, change your title when you get a chance.

    I still have no idea how they rolled that thing more than 3 feet without noticing that. Let alone 3 days

    Yeah looks like the company you hired to do the work provided workers not skilled in the tasks assigned to them.

    You changed it, but the "help" alone is almost as bad :facepalm:. Couldn't just write "input on troubleshooting lift install" or something. Probably help with additional constructive feedback from people skimming topics too...
