I still have my 87 chevy also and i still wont get rid of it even though it is beat to shit and mangled because i hit a phone pole at 65 mph, broke that down and then rolled it onto its side. Ol boy still pulls my taco out of the mud when i get it stuck though.

That ranger looks like a turd

+1 try rough rangers:) i had an old school 89 ford ranger and i liked it alot it ran forever with the 2.9 liter v6 i really liked it but my nissan hard body was a much better truck. now i have the tacoma and this is by far the most capable truck i have had to date it also has the smallest engine mines a 4x4 regular cab toyota makes a great truck in my opinion the best compact or midsize truck around the only thing i wished was offered on my truck was a arm rest for the bench seat and the diesel engine they offer in the hilux. america needs to get over its fear of oil burners already dude i would shit if i could get a toyota turbo diesel four cyl in my truck.

ummm...I don't really see alot of pre-93 ish Toyota's running around. I don't think comparing that to a late 70's Courier is exactly fair. Just my opinion. However, I do get your point about vehicle longevity. You just could have done a better job of making it, bro.

What I do see that's old is late 80s/early 90s Nissan pickups. What the hell is their secret?

Well whatever. Its not here, its not coming here. I went with the best thing that IS here and that's the tacoma which I'm very pleased with. Its done a good job of moving past being the 'red headed stepchild' in a VW family. Kudos to the lil' brown tUrd.

I don't really like it. Very nice interior though. But exterior wise I don't dig it.

I do like the looks but it takes more than that to sell me. Likely, the dub-truck would be much more expensive than the Tacoma....even in TRD trim.

Guess what...at last fill up, I got 21.3 mpg and 372 miles on that tank with a 4.0 V6, double cab.
