In NC just a month or two of normal driving. Humidity is all thats required to start fusing them on. I didnt use anti seize on mine, severely regretted it when I went to take them off.

But the idea of spacers on a daily driver just sketches me out.

I finished pulling the engine bay harness out of the parts car. I’m going to re-do the cable loom and wrap it in Tessa tape.

I also have to re-do the entire EFI harness. I broke every single injector connector removing them. That’s how brittle the plastic was.

I’ll end up doing orange. I’m thinking about paint colors this early in the restoration because once I pull the engine and all the wiring, it’s the perfect time to paint the engine bay.

Really? I figured color matched would be better. It’s burgundy right now with a hint of rat feces.

The nicest thing I’ve ever painted with an HVLP was probably that arcade cabinet I restored. It was the Rusto Oil Based enamel in a can thinned with Acetone.

I would’ve forgiven your bed line job if you masked the goddamn VIN sticker off. Takes 5 minutes with painters tape and a razor blade.

You can definitely get great results with Rustoleum. All in the prep and process. The paint itself is about as good as it gets for enamel paints

It’s pretty good stuff. I just hate how sticky it is. I can sweep rattle can paint when it’s dried. It just becomes a powder. Rusto oil paint sticks to everything.
