I think Haspin was where I went with Matt. I just remember it was crazy cold and the owners were in a very rough trailer with a space heater and few teeth.

Hey, I'm fine with Little Miami they have some good beers. I'm not far from 16 Lots (Mason) or Rivertown (Monroe).

That sounds like Big Maples in Oxford close to Houston Woods State Park. I used to take my quad there all of the time.

Yes. It is a pretty rough place, but they have been pushing more for motorcross events and hold at least one large race.

Typically, the offroading part is heavily populated with Bubba's. Old, fat, redneck, hillbillies that have more money wrapped up into their offroad rig (typically Jeeps, mostly cherokees..) or SxS than they do their house. Usually drunk.....always cussing and yelling and acting like idiots.

I've been once. Pulled through the parking lot, dodging dumbasses gunning their rigs and promptly left.

Lots of drunken stupidity happens out there. There has been a few people killed out there over the years because of it.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
I tried the devils backbone (?) before I had done anything to my truck and succeeded in ripping off all four of my mud flaps

As much as I agree with the sentiment...

Putting those on someone else's vehicle is misdemeanor Petty vandalism if the owner presses charges.
If placed on paint instead of glass it can go even worse if you get caught.

What every happened to ttora.com in the midwest? Seemed to be a good site, but no posts recently. Hopefully not going to get jammed up asking about one forum on another.

I think the whole site is crumbling really.

For the midwest, a lot of the guys moved over here.

My experience was that when I asked questions I was immediately met with "What a stupid question" or "Use the search function".

When I would reply back with "I did search but the parameters are different for my exact situation" then they would just get shitty.

So, a lot of people came here and there is a whole lot more chat.

    Nope. I see it too...

Because even when you do search, and read, and try to answer your question using past posts/threads but can’t find the answer you need, or if you just want advice/experience so you decide to post a new thread (in the correct forum) you either get smart ass responses or no responses at all...

I also see or have seen those responses here in TW but I haven’t seen it as much lately and I have seen a bunch of new members asking questions and being given guidance without as much bashing for not searching.

I don’t know if that means the old guard have given up or if Mods are privately communicating to bashers to give some slack or if I’m just missing those post/threads since I’m not needing tire size, suspension or novice info and not opening those threads anymore.

If I wanted to search, I'd use Google.

Google will give me a TW thread 99% of the time.

If I'm posting a question, I've already searched.

I answer all questions the best I can when I see them.

    Also.....

A better way to get your question answered than starting a new thread is to look through build threads.

At some point in time in my years here, I really started looking at different builds and reading through those threads.

This helped me a couple ways:

    1. I got to see all the strife, trials and tribulations one can go through whilst building a truck.
    2. I saw how people chose parts for different reasons.
    3. It helped me understand how to pick and buy parts.

During this time, I was also able to ask question of the OP of the thread. This proved much more efficient and typically results in a much better response, because you are asking about THEIR truck, instead of yours. (People like to talk about themselves.....lol)

So now, when I have a "What size lift do I need to fit 33's" type of question, I just search build threads and find a build I like and read it.

You'll also learn a lot more info as well.
