    I asked my dealership about just buying red ones they quoted me minimum $800 I asked the body shop about painting my black ones they quoted me minimum $700

    OVT, 4.88, ADM, F&R ARB lock, KO2's, RWD L MOD
    I'm at least 10-12 Toyota mods behind. Once weather warms and I get caught up I will pop the rears off, clean with Simple Green, dewax and degrease. First I will try PlastiDip in some form of black and see how well it adheres and just how durable, and go from there. Worst case dollarwise I know a guy who can spray them for maybe $200 tops if I supply good automotive paint.

    Body shop said the OR flares have a texture and would make it harder that's why the price was so high.

    ah gotcha. I just picked up some silver flares from a 2019 for FREE! Older lady, she took them off to put these giant aftermarket ones on. Not my taste but not my truck either lol, so that leads me to trade for OR flares or get these color matched to my MGM taco. Either way it was a 7hr round trip I did on saturday but for free it seemed worth it for me. She was originally asking $100 for all 4 but after hearing how far i traveled for them she just said I can have them haha.

    People with painted flares...

    Literally take them off, sand them down, spray them with black spray paint, and bam...Takes maybe an hour to paint all 4.

    I painted my old flares with black spray paint and it looked identical to my OR flares, probably better to be honest

    Thought about it, I have a set from a silver taco just sitting in my garage. Local shops around here are ridiculous to paint 4 pieces of plastics lol. Only worry I had with spray can is the fading and scratching
