So what is the general consensus, raise the front or rear of seat?

    Mostly dust and dirt.
I test drove a leftover 19 SR5 CC 4x4. The seat made my back hurt during the test drive.
I tried a 20 and no problems. If you want to change the seat just find a regular non power 20 seat. Should be cheaper than a power seat.

Another possibility would be a car seat cushion that would raise you a little higher.

No idea what the general consensus is but if I were to ever mess around with the seat it would be to raise the front.

6’2 - also curious what the benefit to raising the front of the seat?

when I first got the truck it felt uncomfortable - but now I have my driving position that works for me and I can drive all day.

I'm only 5'11" so I can't really speak for you tall guys but for me raising the front of the seat gives me much better leg support. Makes all the difference in the world as far as comfort is concerned. YMMV of course.
