Thank you from all of us cat lovers. I can only image that guy out there suffering. Hate the thought. Truly an act of heroism in my book. Not only you incurred lost time but money and your now emotionally invested. Some people wouldn’t have stopped even if they were getting paid for that time. All I can say is you have good karma coming your way!

Hey guys figured I’d give a little update.

Unfortunately I received a call this morning saying that the cat (the vets named him Arnold) did not make it through the night... pretty bummed out I really wanted him to get through it and have a happy life with a good owner.

I keep thinking of when I first saw him and he was crying out for help, poor little guy

This semi-majestic asshole is Octavian. 11 this year. Likes to swat at the dogs and cry to come in after crying to go out.

 

You gave him love and peace when he needed it most. Be proud of that.

 

I’ve been enjoying this thread for a while, figured it’s time to post a picture. We have six rescues that are inside cats, ferals we manage as outside cats and last year we started fostering for our local Humane Society. This was our last litter of fosters at the end of last year...awesome bunch of kittens (yes, they all get named). It’s hard to give them back, but each one has a better chance at a good permanent home through the foster program. Kitten season is getting ready to start again so we are prepping for more litters this year.

So much this... makes you really want to smack the asshole that abandoned the poor little guy. I think it’s awesome he was at least able to pass someplace warm with people that cared.

 

I tried that with mine tonight and they wanted nothing to do with it! Ungreatful little shits!!!

Take comfort in knowing that he did not die alone, he did not die in pain, and he knew that someone cared. You gave him those irreplaceable gifts.

 

I never thought i’d be a cat person until i moved away to college and needed a buddy to keep me company
