New Tires Soon

What would be a good tire to go back with on my tacoma, instead of the dunlop grantreks? my truck is also 2wd.

I vote for Toyo Open Country H/T, A/T, or M/T. Whichever fits your needs. You could also look into Nitto Trail Grapplers, Terra Grapplers, or Dura Grapplers. All of these tires are made in America, however, you won't find any white letter tires made at the American plant. Look for "73XX" in the DOT code on the tire and the stamping "MADE IN U.S.A" on the sidewall.

 

I'm thinking of the same thing. Hope to have a new (Bigger!) set on by end of next month, or December at the latest. I hate these stock Dunlops, but I am also thinking about doing a small lift, so I would go with a bigger tire, I just havn't decided yet.

I have had really good experiences with the Firestone Destination A/T's, the tread is a nice design. Personally, I have seen them do very well on Kentucky river rock and any dry off road conditions. Like any A/T it does lack in the mud. Also, the performance in the rain suprised me with my set that I had on my Cherokee.
I would suggest looking at the Destination A/T, BFG A/T, or the General Grabbers

 

2 w drive? I suggest Firestone Destination LE I have AT on my 4x4 Taco and love them so far..

 

Are you looking for a set of diggers on the back and something more tame on the front or keeping the same thing all around? what kind of driving do you do, are you looking for a highway tire, all-terrain, mud-terrain?

 

I work in parts at John Deere, so I do have to go out in the field every now and then, but my truck gets 80 miles a day put on it driving to work and back. So I'm looking for something between highway and all-terrain. Also I would like to keep the same thing all the way around. Also looking for something good in wet weather, afterall I do live in south Louisiana. Thanks for the input so far!
