It’s probably the only racing I can afford to do until the kids are grown. I’d be happy running dirt karts and then move up to a Legends car later.

The only racing I can afford involves a set of Lambofeeties.

I raced dirt go karts in my early 20's (1994-1995ish), it was expensive then. Now the only racing I do is to the bathroom!

Sim racing can help scratch the itch. I started in the mid 90's with the Papyrus NASCAR titles. Now I'm on Project Cars 2 and can drive karts, modern GT & LMP racers as well as vintage LeMans classics.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
That is awesome! My son (he is 11) and I just finished a three year build on his 1982 go kart. The police have already shown up once because he is tearing down the road in the hood. They were cool though. Ended up replacing the spindles, added centrifugal clutch assembly with a jack shaft. 7.5 HP Subaru motor. Replaced the steering links and geometry. Made the roll cage out of DOM tubing and added a 4 point harness. Turned out to be quite the little project.

Hopefully Atlanta will see a ticket bump for the Saturday double-header. I got my camping pass and tickets Tuesday. Getting excited and hoping for good weather. We've had nearly 19" of rain so far this year.

Hi, I have a Dale JR 88 Mountain Dew Nascar ticket/credential lanyard that was purchased at a race about 4 years ago. It was never used and was stored away. Its free for anyone who would like it, just pay $5 to cover shipping cost. PM if you would like it. Thank you.

This is pretty freaky... but cool at the same time. This popped up on my YouTube suggested videos.

Look at how young everybody looks... Tony... Jeff... Joe Gibbs...

I just want to pop in and say how much I appreciate y’all and this thread. It’s the most civil place I’ve found on the internet to talk racing. r/nascar took down another post of mine within minutes. The mod said I “posted it on the wrong day.” This is the third time I’ve had a post removed.

I ordered this die-cast for my kiddo six months ago and it finally arrived. I’d completely forgotten about it:

They suck... either you are in or you get downvoted every word... I still love how I was attacked for bringing technical knowledge of working on motors to a bunch of kids who think formula E is cool....

Racing hasn't been too bad, especially for California. Has alot to do with tire wear.

They are going to a single lug nut Since they are going to an 18" wheel, they want it to be close to oem, don't think the mustang, Camaro or Camry come from the factory with one lug nut. This new car is just getting worse and worse by the minute.
