Well, these were one of the financially obtainable cars when I was in high school. Big back seats...so definitely porn worthy to us.

Yeah, but you didn't care about what the car was at that specific moment in time
I just had a K-car with a peeled hood, but I didn't care because it had a back seat.

Driving a K car was an "experience." We had them as unit staff cars in the 90s, and I remember the day we got up to 65 on the highway.

    There was a tail wind.

    We were going downhill.

How many dependapotamuses did you have in it? Mine was just a 2.2/3 speed Aries, but it'd bury the needle on a long straightaway :notsure:

Worse - two GIs simply trying to attend an official function at another location. We even tried to take personal vehicles, but the unit was like "nope, gotta take the K car."

At the time, it was 15 years old (an '88) and had that "old car funk" to it.

We replaced it with a diesel Chevy 2500 DCLB, which was significantly improvement in functionality and versatility.

I owned a few of those back in the day,88-90.One i built in tech school, rebuilt everything, motor, trans, suspension.Another i bought for $200.put a running 350 in it.had a total of $400. in it and my girls friend loved it and ask how much. I told her $1400. and she jumped all over it. I bought a couple more for dirt cheap and parted them out.Everything fits chevelle.I sold the disc brake set ups to guys in school who had drum brakes.

    ....^^^... I think that is about a 1962 ? (no google used) ... my grandfather had a 63 Catalina

And I loved that model and roof line and especially those wheels ... with a 421/405 with dual 4's (that 421 SD really pumped out close to 475 hp) ... that car would rock ...

Royal Pontiac built 455 cu Gran Prix's and 421 cu GTO's ... and they had a factory warranty ...
Royal Pontiac was the Yenko or Mr. Norm of Pontiacs :burnrubber:

Yep, it’s a 1962 Grand Prix. If you look closely, you can see the 8 lug wheels that, as far as I know, were only on the Grand Prix.
