Look for the embossed "TOYODA" logo on the steering rack, assuming you still have an OEM. Pretty neat! I thought I had a counterfeit first time I saw that...

Is it a J shift case? If so the 2 switches are at the left and right of the shift rails at the front if you are looking down at the shifter with the boot/cover off from the drivers seat. Its those two plugs with wires coming off them.

here you go, I just put a 27 in my Tacoma, the larger tray from Toyota fits right in. I used the stock hold down.

Yeah I’m aware of where it is, question is referring to how to get it out? None of my tools fit.

Take the cross member out and lower the trans and cases down a bit, or take the shift console out and go through the cab. Pretty sure they're 24mm

Also I got impatient today and couldn't find any rubes to assist me. So I got fancy with the clamps and straps to remove my old-manopy.

An engine hoist is the best tool, I've removed my bed with it, jacked up the body to work on the frame, moved toolboxes out of trucks, put on/off my RTT, oh yeah... Pulled engines. And now removed a canopy with it.

Much better, looks like a truck finally.

Anyone in Eastern WA or North ID or maybe Canukistan want to buy a mint extra cab canopy?

Ya... the common denominator is certain sensetive bitches in this thread don't like it when you question their authoriah.

Cool it only took you two hours of running your mouth to shut up.

It's called a -build- thread... not post pictures to impress the ladies thread. Sorry my build thread doesn't impress you. I impress the ladies by rolling through the mall parking lot, remember?

The original argument going on was that Optimas suck now, require extra stuff and also pop and burn your rig down. Then you guys started flexing and shit got real.

My point was not everyone uses the batteries the same way. Some use for daily driver and some put a lot of stress on them. A battery like most everything else will not last as long if you use it and apply a lot of stress to it. So just because it last for someone that lightly uses it doesn't mean it will last for someone that puts them through a large amp draw most every time they use it. For a daily driver it may be fine but for someone that does a little more it may suck.

Its funny though, that just because it works for some they argue it can't suck for others, lol

That applies for all batteries though.

Man, you guys are invested in batteries and being right.

I wouldn't buy an Optima after so many reports of ones giving up the ghost quickly and one burning down a friend's truck. Just my opinion, not asking anyone to agree or disagree.

Anyone else can do whatever makes them happy. It's their money and truck.

Sometimes I do like to see what a can of gasoline and fire do together....

Dual battery setups are 100% overrated and unnecessary in 99% of applications on TW :)
