What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thank you! I’ve gotten lots of great info from here over the years.

 

I had it done in Madison Heights (NE of Lynchburg) at Wes’s Muffler and Custom Pipe Shop. They did a great job. Quick, and fairly priced.

After looking at a few recommendations from TW, I decided to purchase a Fyre Flys interior LED kit. I also purchased an OEM LED Bed Kit. I installed both last night.

My only complaint with the interior lights is the vanity mirror lights are WAY too bright to use. I had to switch them back to the standard factory bulbs.

I would consider a set if they were just plastic plates that just snapped on over top of the existing fillers. Seems too much work to remove 1/2 of the front end to change them out.

 

When doing more such as headlights, bumper, winch, or possibly a light bar you already have the disassembly done so it is an easy "since I am here" upgrade task.

 

Do you have a write up for this, or did you have someone smart do it? I’m an idiot when it comes to electrical junk.

 

I've had these sitting around for at least 6 months but I've heard they are a PITA to install. Bumper removal, headlight removal, front grill removal. Tell me I'm wrong and I should put these in immediately because I've been thinking I'd just bag it and sell them on Ebay

Haha tell me about it. Already trying to justify a DiamondBack Cover, RTT, Sliders, bigger tires, etc.

 

That’s easy, get into the kidnapping business, then you can even write off the cover.

look under your truck and see the exhaust pipe hanging down below your frame. take it to a decent exhaust shop and they will re-route it for a bit of cash, well under 200 usually. that will improve your clearance as you can see.
