    Holy crap! Well for starters you left them in there too long.. for secondly, what time are you running, TRD or HP Tuners? If you are running TRD that would explain why they look like crap because that tune file is known to run pig rich under part throttle.

    I think i switched to HPtuners halfway thru the life of these plugs..

    How often are y’all changing plugs out? I thought they were supposed to be good to 70-80k ?

    Under NA circumstances, yes, but by default a supercharger washes down cylinders with fuel in order to keep everything cooler, so our plugs get fouled more frequently, requiring more frequent changes.

    Even if you are tuned your plugs will look like garbage much quicker than NA, running AFR at 11.5 while under part and wide open throttle circumstances whenever really does not help the plugs clean. The only thing we can do is make sure they got a tighter gap them usual and run them as hot as allowable (the IKH22 are good) to allow them to self clean themselves while sparking.

    I am changing mine around every 15-20K or so and I feel like that is pushing things too though that is probably the hypochondriac in me wanting to make sure things are tip top.

    how long can you go on stock N/A plush? I’ve. Been putting off swapping since I’ll be doing that anyway with the S/C my mpg took a big hit a couple months back. tried an bunch of things except plugs. I hope it’s not worse with the S/C. About 9mpg now

    Oh my god. That fuel economy sounds atrocious! OE NA plugs are supposed to be coppers, so 30K.

    If you have went well over that then most likely it is the plugs, if not then you probably have an AFR sensor that is bad.

    yah it’s horrible. I’m 6-7k over the second set so I’m guessing that. I did clean the afr and MAF and it seems to help a little but went right back to shit. It’s heavy and big ass tires but it was never this bad.

    if I can’t do the S/C soon I’ll have to replace them but once I start tearing it apart I want the end result to be mas boost.

    Well we need more info to condemn stuff. What size tires, what size lift, how many miles on it, what's the entire setup, how much added weight over OE, what is your maintenance history like, do you drive it daily? Bla bla bla... Help me help you Robert. Lol. :laugh:

    Pull the one nearmost to the intake air cleaner, bank 1. It's the easiest one to access and just take a look at it. You'll know the moment you pull it.

    Ha well the truck is heavy. how much I am unsure but it has a lot of BAMF 1/4, Steel, 315's, swingout, shell, etc. mid travel (shock relocate etc). its heavy. Gets regular oil changes and maintenances. Replaces filters all the basic stuff. Jus shy of 70k. I do need to replace the spark plugs thats over due but figured I would be doing the S/C by now. Right now its daily a 15 miles or so since the other car is down. Last year drove out to CO and avg 14-16 mpg which was to me crazy good. 12-13 mpg was what I was getting before so the drop to 9 mpg is a big hit. Especially running a 91 OV Tune as well. That shit adds up

    Past couple months it took a nose dive. Cleaned the MAF and AFR sensors. Gave it an oil change, tire rotation, etc. I prob need an alignment and wheel balance.

    One far off idea I had was possibly the new Calipers that were added may be off a bit and "dragging" the pads. Truck seems fine but I did have some back and forth to get them to fit.

    At 70K it probably is your plugs. It can't be your sensors.

    Then again anything is possible with today's new wave of made in China cheapass electronics.

    Pull a plug, just so you can see it. Knowledge is power. Like Torspd said last page ago. :p

    Which sensors read AFR ? is it the primary O2's ? Is there a way to calibrate them or check if they are reading off ? I wonder if I am getting tuned based on bad readings from the stock sensors

    The pre-catalytic converter sensors are the WRAF sensors.

    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    Stock upstream sensors are wide band for your AFR, but the ECU doesn't fully utilize their potential.

    Depends on the readings. You should see around 3.3V during idle ND there should be some sort of milliamperage reading out of them which indicates they are working. If they are not reporting some sort of milliamperage movement then they are defective..

    I have maxed out the maf sensor calibrated to ~tundra size as low as 5000 rpm (380g/s). Log showed linear gain in maf of ~40g/s per 500 rpm. from 3500-5000 rpm. That would mean roughly 460g/s of air at 6000 rpm. maf X 1.15= ~ hp at crank roughly or that is the generally excepted number (up for a shit storm debate)
    so 529hp was my last guess based on the available data which doesn't even seem possible. Really need to see more dyno runs with hp related to maf

    Oh right. Cammed 4.5L supercharged. I don't see why 529HP at the crank is not feasible.
