Yea I agree. Also, with Bryce Young being there, Taulia already has the shadow of his brother to fight with and now trying to battle "the best QB recruit Bama has ever landed doesnt help. But the Tagovailoa familys' closeness is cool to see. Their culture is definitely family oriented and that's pretty special.

His numbers at Wake weren't terrible. According to UGA and their "special" fans, he's already the greatest SEC QB of all time and has yet to take a snap in the SEC so take that for what it's worth.

    Head unit. That's it.

There are a lot of monkeys for Taulia.

What if he doesn't beat out Mac Jones?
What if he doesn't live up to Tua's performance?
What if Bryce Young is better?

Thats a LOT of pressure, for ANYONE. Couple that with potentially watching your parents (who moved to Alabama for Tua) leave to follow Tua in the pro's.....leaving you behind....

Unless Tua ends up in Atlanta....(I suppose Kirby could poach that too...lol) I'd expect Taulia to make an exit.

I would step in but as a Florida fan I'm not allowed talk without dawgs barking and something about Dan Mullen being mentioned

Seems to be a good fit, had a decent year with a bad team around him. Brings a more mobile game, which is what everyone was bitching about needing when Fields transferred. We did still pick up solid recruits, but Fields transferring left a bit of a gap. Next year behind Newman we have D'Wan Mathis, was a 4 star, had to sit out last year to recover from brain surgery. Carson Beck is a 4 star, number 9 pro style recruit in the country (freshman). Then we have Brock Vandagriff coming in next year, 5 star and depending on where you look the No. 1 or 2 QB in that class.

I assume he just wanted a seasoned guy to fill the gap.

pro football focus has him as the #3 returning QB in the nation behind Trevor and Fields. I mean he was playing in the ACC, so I don’t really know how to feel about him. He’s more of a dual threat than we’ve had in a little bit (think he has 800+ rushing yards last year and around 8 or 9 TD). I don’t think Carson Beck (4*) will be ready as a freshman...then next season will probably be battling with Brock Vandagriff, who I expect to win the battle.

And now there’s this adding to the Newman Hype train.

The fact that Etienne is that low is laughable, especially behind 3 qb's with little to no previous playing experience

same odds just guessing they went alphabetical by first name...but yeah just goes to show its a QB award if the top 2 RB's are that low

Chuba led NCAAF in yards and tied for most TD. I don’t recall him being mentioned much last year but Dobbins was (and Chuba was arguably stacked against more because he wasn’t on a good team).

They’ll find a way to make it Lawrence’s to lose this year.

it not only has become a QB award, but it's a QB on a winning team award....which I find stupid. I've never thought the wins column should matter for the player that gets considered for the heisman. it's clear when a player is just astronomically amazing but on a terrible team. McCaffrey comes to mind...

Need to see a WR win the Heisman.

Was Woodsen or Desmond the last to do it?
