12-14 mpg!!

    past few times I have filled up and checked my MPG's i have been ranging between 12 and 14 MPG's. I have 33" all terrains, 2.5" lift, AFE CAI, Doug Thorley Y-pipe, and Magnaflow cat back. I would say my driving is 65% highway and 35% City. I wouldn't say i drive aggressivley but rarely i will get on it to make a pass. I use Premium Chevoran Gasoline. Shouldn't I be getting better gas mileage than this? Anyone have same problem?

    I thought the CAI they Y-pipe and Magnaflow was actually supposed to increase MPG's.

    No, that must be my answer!! So how do I calculate it accuratley with my 33's?

    the best way is to go to a tire calculator and compare the stock size to the new size....then add/decrease that percentage to the total mileage. i think thats the easiest way, but some of the brainiacs around here have their exact methods...lol

    That's some of it. You've got about a 7% speedo/odo error (indicates 65 when you're really going 69).

    240 indicated miles +7%= 257 actual miles

    So you're probably getting close to 13-15mpg. Bigger tires will reduce your mileage some. Plus, if you keep it close to 60mph indicated, you'd be going the speed limit. Measure it by your RPM. Keep the RPMs under 2000.

    I just check mine this week, I posted before in regards to speed-o error/being off and my lift. I am getting 19 mpg with the last tank, with me heading south hunting and gas coming down I will be filling up again soon.
    I have noticed a little more pinging than normal, must be that winter mix thing that they are talking about. I am also using Shell, I don't know if that matters, but my father swears on certain stations gas.

    i go by my gps. it tracks the miles that i actually go on there w/ no connection to the vehicle and its dead on mileage w/ mileage signs on the interstates

    I always make the correction. Seems my mileage has been droping and I have been driving cautiously. However I ran one tank hard as hell, made about the same mileage as when I baby it. The following tank was cautious and still no good. I however don't have all the mods the OP does, just the lift and tires.

    yeah but it should be better. During the hurricanes I took a 5hr trip, truck was loaded and we drove 70+ mph up hills. I made 21.7 mpg. Now home driving on flat ground keeping to 65mph unloaded I make 16.4 or 16.8 my latest trip. In town I make low 15's. We should be getting better than that even with lift and tires. Especially the OP with his mods.

    I keep it Stock but Clean!
    Sounds like you did the right mods to increase gas efficiency but I think all you might need is a tune in order to get better gas mileage.
