Hey guys, what is the updated status for this weekend looking like? Also, I know Samus mentioned before, but will there be tight trails with brush/pinstriping? Debating if we are going to need to put on some paint protection :)

For high Point and Palomar, as long as you have a good wax or sealant on and actually stay on the trail, you'll just get dust lines that look like trail stripes ( you'll be fine ). If we end up in Anza for the whole day, no problem whatsoever.

Popping back in, returning to US today from UK... First time overseas so hopefully won't be to jet lagged for Saturday... Not sure...

I'm still down for riding and camping as of now. I got a baofeng and depending on the radios that others have we can use a MURS channel (151.880) or a n FRS channel (1-14)

So I called the Rangers and High Point and Palomar Divide are both closed due to weather and the controlled burning they've been doing. We can start off of Chihuahua Valley at Indian Flats instead? It ends on the 79S, and then we take that towards Grapevine as planned and head into Borrego Springs/the metal sculptures before heading to Anza Borrego/Ocotillo. Basically the same route, just cutting off High Point and Palomar.

I just updated the first page with new meetup info and updated route. Does it re-tag all you guys every time I edit that first post? Or is there a way to tag everyone that's already tagged in it? We need a head count and to make sure everyone sees the new info

It doesn't tag us but we can see the notification/update. I won't be able to attend anymore due to last minute plans with the family and need to be back in OC by like 2pm. So I'm thinking of just doing an early morning trail ride to maple springs here in OC if anyone wants to join.
