I'm wondering why it says futs are down 5% when it's 28 points from SPX close? Kinda weird. But I haven't looked at futs this early after the bell before. I usually take a gander around dinner time.

I think it's 5% down from this morning, not today's close. It will probably adjust later on or after midnight.

edit: it could just be showing the last 15 minutes of after hours trading from 4-4:15.

Futures down 0.7% if I’m reading it right.

I am on the CNBC app. When I look at the after hours prices of my 34 stock portfolio that pretty much mirrors the market, it ain’t looking good for tomorrow.

Stocks so low makes me wonder if I wanna push more into my tdameritrade account and invest more now.

I only lost $2500 today, but about $7-8k since the corona outbreak.

Tough call. Put it all in now, you’ll regret it if we drop more. Wait, you’ll regret it if we rebound soon. I just put it in when I have it, regardless of anything, keeps me from thinking too much about it.

Keep in mind that ten rate cuts from 4.75 to Zero in 2008 didn’t keep the market from cratering 60%.

Where do we go from here? Negative interest rates? The Fed has no ammo so get ready for an untried experiment in the United States.

Well, UAB repping Birmingham nicely in the news with talks of corona medication.

Times like these make me think of all the things I could’ve done with that 7-8k.

I’ve got about 6 sitting ready to trade in the account now. I’ll be watching tomorrow for maybe buy in something.

I don’t think many people realize how far this thing could actually go. It’s been so good for so long that nobody seems to remember that every once in awhile it crashes

Man, been a great day/week. Just broke 1k on my $135 and $45 investments. Question is when will CODX slow down? Getting some help from VXRT too.

Also hearing that regardless of who gets the vaccine that IBIO will be producing it. Need to do some more research on that but about to buy 150 shares if it checks out.

I'll make the odd take here: Anyone saving cash is losing big. So even if your portfolio is dropping you're probably at least losing less than if it was held cash (except real cash like gold/ammo) Anything more than a small reserve to take advantage of good buys is a waste imo

I couldn’t agree more. I never hold cash. I have a bunch of stocks, if I really needed cash, I can choose what to sell. Maybe take gains, take losses, or find something close to break even. I keep all of my cash working for me though.
