Did you check headstrong offroad for Dakar leaf packs? I bought mine from them a couple years ago for less than $500 shipped.

 

Thanks, I may end up using them but I'm going to try a local 4x4 shop in Abington I think for an initial in person consult. The previous owner of the truck started modding it and I've been slowly piecing together exactly what he did, the truck is an '11 but I know in '16 the Leer cap was put on and bilsteins all around, including front springs. If I had been planning on doing any more modding I would've hit up the local Taco meetup last fall and probably been able to come up with a great plan, but this RTT was too good to pass up so now I'm back to needing to tweak the truck a little more

The next question is, do you still like the Dakars? I've heard they start to make a lot of noise after a while and possibly go flat for some people. It's more than likely the pack I'll go with, the medium duty 300lb load looks almost perfect for me.

 

With all the shit I haul and the rear bumper/swings/bedside protection/cap/bedslide/rack/tent/shit I dumped the dakars for another brand of custom heavy duty leafs. Those dakars were squeakers for sure but I had plastic inserts pressed into them which help eliminate that.

 

I just started looking at the ICON Multi-Rate RXT Leaf Spring Kit, but I haven't found any "reviews" of it yet, I'll have to do some searching on this site. I'd look at Deavers but I just can't see myself spending over $1K on the springs alone.

They squeak, and rust. I dont have nearly the weight that @Bruce988jl has on is truck, not sure anyone does, so no issues with squat. I do not have a cap, or RTT or swing out on my bumper.

i believe he’s speaking of Offroad Elements. Mostly Jeep but can pretty much get whatever you want and with excellent customer service.
He’s been able to get stuff for my LX450, FJ40 and Tacoma.
Plus they wheel and support the sport.

So you all know I'm a Mall Crawler, and I put rear Kings on last November. Anyway I have a new set of rear Kings and was wondering if anyone is interested in the current shocks on my truck? And what they are worth to someone. Nothing wrong with them accept being a little dirty. My new set is being clear coated. So just figured I would see what the rear set would be worth to someone
