Same. had my windows cracked this summer and the landscapers cut the grass at work on a windy day. i have so much dust inside mine right there by the knob too. in the right light it's really noticeable and annoying.

So glad to find this thread. I bought my 16 used and the truck was super clean, very well kept. BUT the damn gauge cluster had noticeable scratches on it. I’m so OCD about my shit that very night when I brought the truck home I bought plast-x to try and remove them. Now I’m going to just replace the gauge cluster plexiglass.

A heat gun is an option to completely restore plexiglass and acrylic. Take the cluster out of the dash first to avoid heating up anything that shouldn’t be heated up.

For all of you who have taken out the cluster, anybody see how hard it would be to take of the needles and face plate, I'd like to put a piece of tape over the TPMS sensor light

Could you just remove the bulb? Or is this modern cluster not set up like that?

I called a few local shops and none wanted to apply a tint or anything like that; they said the contours were too tricky basically.

I am contemplating trying the liquid screen protector we use on our cell phones...not sure though lol

I had my ceramic coating guy coat mine on my 2020 after trying everything under the sun on my last trucks, with ceramic coating, CQuartz, should prevent any scratches.

Yep, its just a ceramic coating designed for plastics, ceramic is used on interior pieces all the time. They used a special applicator pad and applied it to my unmolested (150 miles) cluster, it will act like a clearcoat so I can microfiber it and not have to worry about scratches galore.

@Goncalves_Taco I actually just thought of using the liquid screen protectors for phones as well. Used this on my Galaxy s9 when i had it and worked well. Not sure how it would apply on on this though...

Yea I bought the screen protector; I just need to get around to applying it to the cluster and see how it works on plexi. I have the new one in a box waiting

Just a suggestion, maybe go to the hardware store and find a rubber O-ring that is snug around the knob, use a piece of clear vinyl tubing to snug down over the O-ring and push it down. Maybe put one on the inside and over the outer part of the cluster.
