I have a question.....I have the Maxtrac spindle lift (spindles with Bilsteins set at 2.5) and extended shocks in rear, drop bracket kit. When I step on brake on freeway I get a little shimmy in the steering wheel. Any body know the cause or fix for this. Doesn’t happen every time. Rotors, brakes are good.....not sure why this happens. Otherwise love my Maxtrac lift.

Did you double check that you torqued all the bolts? Did you feel it during the first drive or progressive over time?

More progressive over time. I believe. Had a off-road shop install lift.

I've had my spindles on for 3 days and It's been raining pretty good in Kansas since I've put them on and they are only rusted on the top flat part do I just scratch it off and spray some bedliner on it?

Looking at possibly getting some 4” maxtracs, but I need to figure out if they would work with my 16x8 wheels with 3.5” backspacing. I plan to run 35’s with them eventually.

    I have a few mods
yup, I ran a set of 16x8 Mickey Thompson Classic III black wheels, they had 4.5" BS and they cleared perfectly. Just barely, but they did, as long as you have AT LEAST 4.5" BS you will be fine, the less you have the better as the wheel sticks further out. I was also able to clear a 315/75r16, iirc these photos were without my 2" spacers up front. I now have 37s...so I have no idea if they were to still fit haha

Perfect! Mine are 16x8 -25 3.5 BS. As long as I can fit the 35’s without rubbing in the spindles I’m happy

Update on steering wheel shaking: after new ball joints, new brakes and rotors and new rear drums, alignment. Drives like butta. :)Warped front rotors. All this stuff was probably due since I have almost 170,000 miles on this beast:smokertransformer:
