    Yeah I guess it can get expensive but it’s all attainable if you pinch penny’s where it matters. Also not saying sua is the best setup or totally worth it, I’m probably going to move on from it here soon when my truck doesn’t sell lol

    This^^^ I’ve loaded up like crazy and no issues. Bikes, camp gear, easily had 600lb+ in the bed with no problems. I’ve also towed with my sua ( tongue weight will give you some good squat but it drives fine so long as it’s a safe load).

    DMZ sua with a custom add a leaf from deaver. I do a handful of crawling as well as fast stuff so the extra ride height from the add a leaf is helpful in the rocks. Stiffer spring rate did make dialing in the bypasses a little more work but it’s setup pretty damn good now.

    The weight handling is all in spring rates and shock tuning, not necessarily spring over vs sprig under. Cost of leaf springs will be about the same regardless of sua or soa, and the same thing for shocks. But please do yourself a favor and do bypasses regardless f what you do.

    I think brown mike may have f67’s which tend to not hold a lot of weight. 2nd gen springs are made to hold bigger heavier trucks for sure. E30’s provide lots of lift for 1st gens.

    I had trail gear sliders with glass on an extended cab. No issues.

    What setups have you seen that give the most travel, without a bedcage? I don't mind going with a SUA setup, but if I am only going to relocate my rear shocks is SUA even necessary? I load up my bed way too much with a variety of different things, so a bedcage is out of the question for me.

    A couple guys on here have this setup. @Tango Bravo and this truck:

    @THROTTLE231

    with your front kit basically being a race kit it would be cool to have a rear end setup that can keep up with it if you really want to hit stuff fast when you’re not hauling a lot of stuff.

    DMZ sua with the archive relocation kit and 14” bypasses would be the best “standard” setup for max travel without going through the bed.

    That or that RJ fab cantilever setup that @Dalandser mentioned.

    Yeah, this sounds very doable and most likely the route I will have to go. I use the bed way too much. I appreciate the recommendation. I'll probably start pricing everything out here soon.

    You should look into Carli airbags. They can cycle 12” of travel. They don’t make a Tacoma kit but they’re not hard to make yourself. I use them for camping / hauling so I can have a soft suspension setup for daily driving and it’s been fantastic. I have some pictures of the setup somewhere in the middle of my build thread if you want to check it out. There’s also a 2nd gen on here with the same setup.

    For long travel builds, how would you all price a truck? Normally add-ons dont count, but a long travel rig usually has items that can't be taken off and sold individually. What are your thoughts on looking at the NADA and KBB value and adding some %$ of the mods done?
