so i had prinsu before. and the reason i like this rack more because you can install this without messing with the weather seal. so if i ever want to undo the install, i will still have my weather seal.

the weather seal is a $300 part at toyota. cutting it sucks.

i also like that it's more flush design and it's much quieter on the highway than prinsu.

let me know what you guys think! ..

    Looks ugly

Edit: And you have to mess with the drip railing still if you want it on. Or, just remove it, and when you remove the rack one day, reinstall the drip railing.

it does look somewhat boxxy.. but nothing that some vinyl cant fix. it's definitely quieter in term of noise. so it's a give and take situation.

i think once you mount accessories to it. it will hide itself. hehe.

It looks homemade. So you fabricate the rack yourself?

i like it, the only thing i would do is either take a drill or a grinder and cut some holes or something to give it a nice design.

All I did was drill holes in the weather stripping, and bought plugs to pop in if need be.

Strips are about $75 a side. Not $300.

from the dealer it was around $300... for both sides.
i needed the strap when i sold my 2018 tacoma with prinsu.
i ended up selling prinsu first and swapping weather straps with the guy

i agree on the looks before mods.
however, prinsu, u need to cover the weather strip channel and you deal with road noise. this one is quiet.

anyway, i got plans to make it look better hehe... maybe some vinyl or lights! .. we will see.

That droopy look on the front fairing design is all wrong from Caliraised.

    My opinion.

    holes = wind noise.
i'm thinking to just do some vinyl work on it.

    or maybe top amber lights

The front fairing looks like a afterthought.

We need to save money boys so cut this curve in it vs. bending the fairing to fit the roof line.

I never understood the roof rack thing on a truck anyways.

i think the reason it looks like an afterthough because i got the economy one without the LED light. i just did not want to shed more $$$ for it.

Even the premium one looks bad. It's a novel design with the move able wind shroud, but it just doesn't look good.
