    California unfortunately does not have antique vehicle loopholes; All gas-powered passenger vehicles 1976 and newer must get smogged biannually; My uncle has to register his '77 VW Westfalia camper at his brother's house in Texas because it won't pass smog in CA!

    I just googled it, and motorcycles do not have to get smogged in California, regardless of year.

    Nope sorry but you are wrong, atf form 4473( the form when you buy guns)tells you, you have dual residency. Your current duty station state and where your license is.

    I’ve never had a problem with it. One time they wanted a copy of a utility bill as proof of address but that’s it. Otherwise it’s been just as painless as when I buy guns in a state with the same license.

    Two- you talked about it being hard to track all those locations with registrations, and things are bound to slip. The caveat- its all self inflicted. Drivers license was always MT, because they put the expectation as 9999 for military. Vehicles were registered in whatever state I was stationed in. Insurance isn’t tied to state’s so that’s moot.

    I got one FFL at gunshow so fired up that his face was red and started raising his voice..people were clearing the area...all i wanted to do was buy a gun. And the thing was it wasnt even a pistol. So i walked to a different table bought the same gun i was looking for no problems. Lol

    Legally you have to follow their state resident laws. Worked a gun counter here for a bit and CA dudes tried to buy 30 round ARs and got upset when they couldn’t get a pistol the same day. Especially when someone local walked out with a 17 round pistol and AR. Or should I say when five people did.
