I figure he’s been pretty swamped lately so I don’t want to tie him up more.

It's not hard to do at all if you have some concept of metal fabrication. I did mine in ~2 hours on my last truck. Just make sure to use a good cutting disc on an electric grinder. I screwed around with an air one that didnt cut it for too long.

Do you need a off road wheel in good condition or do you just want a spare? I have one in my garage that I have no use for but some of the paint is peeling. You can have it for free. lol

Gotcha. I would offer but I've only got an arc welder. Most of the plates ive seen are too this for that type of welder.

the guy that helped me with my UCAs on Sunday has a Harbor Freight welder so I might finally learn how to weld and give it a shot.

I thought you already did some welding. Isn't that how you put your trailer together?

Gotcha, good luck. My welds were ugly as hell cause I hadn't done it in a while and it held pretty good. Really all your doing is covering up a hole. Depending on how far back you cut

Well...after subbmiting a bid on a QC job a few weeks ago, I was finally notified yesterday that my short test is today.

Already forgot how to read a dial caliper, mic and read drawings. So I guess I'm just going to wing it.

It's really to much responsibility for only 4 pay grades. I'd rather just bid on a "A" assembler job for the same pay and stand around with my thumbs in my pockets for 6 hrs a day.

Think I'll just play dumb at the test.

@Matic Does GE do any code welding/pipe welding? , if so is it over 30/hr? I may be looking to move somewhere else but not for anything less than that. And I prefer 4-10s I’ve been on that schedule for about 8 years now. It’s hard to beat.
