Anyone knowna good driveline shop in Brentwood, Antioch, Concord area?

Driveline Services in Pittsburg on Garcia Ave. I used to use them when I lived in Antioch. Fair prices and they do a lot of work on lifted/modified vehicles.

 

If I knew how, I would load the Other Guys exploding scene hahahah

 

Not sure if there is a specific reason for the east bay but... K&M driveline in Modesto does good work IMO.

 

Lmao... my buddy lives in Brentwood. He's looking for something (close) to him.

He's having problems on his 67 Impala when he hits his switches and lifts the back too high... He's wanting to see if he can get his driveline modified to run it higher in the back.

 

Absolutely. It may be the case that in this situation it's better to remove the nickle (maybe because it's not original). But, if @2BeersPlease does have it refinished, research needs to be done to get it refinished with the proper finish. Blued steel, Parkarised, what ever was available in 1918... best case is if that serial number could actually tell what the original finish was.

Definately don't refinish it with anything modern like cerakote.

I'm not a pro but I believe nickel plate was available in 1918... @2BeersPlease , that definitely could be original finish.

 

Super easy. 18" or 22" slip yoke in the driveline e.

 

@2BeersPlease got me looking in to a little more history about the 1911 (specifically Colt)... I don't think nickle is the original finish. Every where I have looked so far says blued steel was all that was available on a Colt 1911 in 1818.

 

Have absolutely no idea, or desire to have an idea, about an Impala driveline. He asked if I could find him someone who can help him. That's as far as it goes on that one lol.

I figure a good driveline shop should be able to tell him what he needs and set him up.
