Does toyota not do this?

I been looking into tacomas and wanted to ask you guys a question. Are their any tacomas that come with power seats and leather from the dealer? if not has anyone seen or done this at all on the newer models?

 

Never seen powered seats , but factory leather is an option in Canada , and some have gotten leather from the factory on their stateside trucks , but I think it is only offered regionally .

 

I think what happens is the dealer sends the truck to an upholstery shop before putting it out on the lot. At least that's what the deal with my friends truck was.

 

But , while that may be the case , the Canadian and US trucks are / were made in the same plants so they are installing factory leather for the Canadian trucks in the same place they won't install it on the US trucks ?

 

Are you sure it's from the factory? or does the dealer get the seats leather upholstered prior to sale? The dealer I've taken mine to for service does this to many of their cars.

It's real funny to see a base Corolla with leather seats but apparently there's enough people hard over for leather they'll pay for it.

 

Power seats, no, but some dealers do custom leather installs. There is no leather available from factory or port.

Read the very bottom line, factory leather is an option in Canada.

 

On my new to me 09 that I just picked up, it has leather and per the carfax it was registered in my city with the low miles like it came off of the lot.

 

Think 4runner! ... They make for fun wheelers too! I would love a long travel 4runner (could have a v8 too!).

 

The only way you can get one in this area is to have them done aftermarket.

I find power seats to b slow and annoying.

 

Check the canadian toyota website leather is available in the TRD models...why don't they install the 4 leaf spring pak in US vehicles, ours come from the factory with 4 paks...another difference betwen our vehicles

 

When I bought my 09, the 4 door TRD off road sport models had optional leather headed seats.
I wanted heated seats, but the were only available with factory leather. Canada trucks only.

 

my 4runner has power seats. totally overrated!... Only used it the 1st day and have never adjusted it since.

Yes , it is a Toyota offering for the Canadian trucks , it is not done by the dealers .

TRD models can get Leather , with heated front seats .

Oddly we can't get heated mirrors

As pmo pointed out , all of our trucks ( Canadian or US ) are built in the same 2 plants , but the Canadian trucks roll out on 4 leaf springs stock , while you guys have to complain to the dealership after the fact and get your trucks re sprung . What gives ? I'm not sure .

But leather is a factory option in Canada .
