It’s 60 degrees here today and my truck is outside in my stupid work parking lot. I have full confidence it’s still going to drive like a hot pile of coronavirus diarrhea.

    Wow.

Sorry, but being a bit lost, what is your situation with these:

    -- TSB Tune: 04A71?
-- MT Fluid: Stock or Redline / Motorcraft / Amsoil
    -- ADM:
-- OVT: No difference with any of the tunes? 1.05 / 2.0 Beta / the One Map test tune?
-- Other driveline issues that you had to now?

Anyone think 28k is NOT a good price for a 2018 w/ 28k miles? I’ve paid the stupid thing off to a point where I’d get enough cash back to buy the best ford probe in the country AND still have money to visit OVTune guy a few times. If this little carvana thing is legit, I don’t have to do a god damned thing other than do my curiously penis shaped signature to rid myself of this terrible vehicle.

Yes. Smooothly. Same going up since flashing to 04B13. I'm just trying to get a full view of @Tacoma816 's issue.

    Fuck.

I have a slight whine also, but like you, I don't really care or worry about it.

Since you say it is stick related, not clutch, I might suggest trying the Redline or Motorcraft fluids? Otherwise, I have no idea.

My 2017 is a non-Tech / non-Prem Sport. In August, I bought out the lease with about 25k on the odo. The bank valued mine at $28.4k. Sticker was about $35k? I think we negotiated to $32k?

I'm nudging up on 28k in my '19 and shifting into first at low speed is occasionally a problem. All other gears are fine. Stock tranny fluid at this point, ADM has been done, single map test tune, URD short shifter yada yada

But at the end of the day I remember I'm driving a truck with a truck transmission, and if I want buttery smooth shifts in all gears and at all speeds I bought the wrong vehicle. YMMV

You guys that are having a problems shifting 1-2 should try rebleeding your clutch. On my 18 my clutch felt fine but began making a popping sound at the pedal so I had the clutch tsb performed. They replaced the master and rebleed the clutch and it is really smooth now, no bucking, no clunkiness, just buttery shifts.

and the funny thing for me is that after like 3 years i'm actually mastering this clutch, like in the last month or so after changing my approach a bit.

and on March 9 my truck goes back to my guy for a another round of work.

will be replacing the entire clutch assembly:
    new URD Stg2 clutch
    re-surfaced flywheel
FJ metal pedal assembly with all metal MC and all the extra bits from a 2008 Land Cruiser. all new parts.

and then i'll be back at square one trying to figure this shit out all over again. but with no squeaking and creaking this time.

Mine was squeaking at like 25k and I greased it and it’s been fine for 75k. I’m still shocked to be honest

i have collected all the parts for a full replacement.

it's all new parts, starting with a metal pedal from a FJ, mating up to the MC from the 2008 Land Cruiser, and all the little washers bushes etc also from the LC. those were overseas parts. Jeff Lange helped me with the list. he's the TW parts guru.

i'll put up more info when the work is done if it goes to plan. the point is to eliminate all the plastic. we sourced this MC from the 08 LC because that was the only MC with a metal clevis. all the newer MCs have a plastic clevis. NO PLASTIC!

Funny thing. I have worn out motorcycle clutch levers that are all metal. Nothing like the materials and part sizes that you are using, but cast and billet aluminum pivots have gone to shit on me over time. Thankfully those parts are pretty inexpensive.

i hold no silly belief that the "all metal" commitment is an actual solution to anything.

BUT if you were dealing with all the squeaking/groaning and had a choice... plastic or metal you tell me.

Totally. Metal controls are my preference.

Your post just brought to mind all the metal controls that I have replaced in the past, but like I said, totally different materials and sizes of parts. I did have higher hopes for 70% moly assembly lube though.
