X-Trek Grille

I decided to add honeycomb behind my X-Trek grille. I bought ABS material off ebay for $20. Don’t mind the bugs, she hasn’t had a bath in awhile!

 

Damn i like that grill. I think ill get o.... Oh wait, I have a 19.

Very cool grill. But I wonder....Seems like with the mesh there is no sensor cover?!? I have read about a million errors if it gets wet, super dirty or snow directly!!? Hence the OEM cover for the Pro grill and hiding behind the logo on the standard one.

 

I've had mine on for a long time. No errors and looks great. It's well protected.

 

I think that you're correct about no cover. Maybe @Inferno! Can tell us about any problems?

I bought the plastic honeycomb and just cut it to shape with wire clippers. Then I glued in some blocks to hold the sides and bottom and then used screws to hold the top. Very easy addition, only took about 20 minutes start to finish. Here’s the link, the price was half that when I bought it though.

Would be nice if the redesign doesn't require the molding off the old truck so it's just one piece.
