It’s a 2019 OR with 4000 miles still has 2years and some months on the factory warranty. It is elgible for the cpo warranty if I wanna pay $900 for it. The main thing is that it is 12 mo 12000 miles bumper to bumper but I already get that with the factory. Anybody familiar with this and could tell me the point of doing it? He told me that it adds value to the truck when I go to resale.

Yes you can add, but shop around for an extended Toyota warranty

do you plan on reselling it within the warranty period? if not then not it wont add value to the truck when its expired

Best not to make a very expensive purchase based on how much less it will sell for later...

yeah they do pay more but its usually the dealership that decides for it to be a CPO based on blemishes, miles.

So it qualifies for the cop. But it costs the dealership to do it which for this truck it is $895. They haven’t done it yet but will if I wanna pay that. It’s pretty much brand new 2019 4000 miles.. there is no recalls on this truck. How come some Tacoma’s are getting the recalls and some not?

Not familiar with this. I never go for extended coverage, but my wife does on her vehicles. I’d say so whatever you are comfortable with.

The most recent fuel pump recall was split somewhere in the 19 model, some are and some aren’t. I haven’t heard on mine yet

So the certified pre owned warranty allows u to take it any dealership. It also goes thru a rigorous inspection supposedly.

Have you told them it’s not worth as much without it, so they should do it or give you a better price :boink:

Exactly that’s what I’m wondering where the value is? I know it extends the limited pt warranty by 20 or 30000 miles. Apparently when you go te trade in the fact that it was a cpo makes it worth more.

So they just got the truck and it’s still being reconditioned so they haven’t certified it yet

as for cpo it adds 100k or 7 years to power train, a year of roadside assistance, and carfax buyback guarantee. comp warrant is 12/12 on CPO. so it's a wash with that piece of it. plus CPO adds to resale value as well. really your choice...
That what the dealership just sent me.

If it gives you a level of comfort greater than the $900, go for it.
